My old soldering iron barely works and keeps falling apart. I don’t do a lot of soldering, so can’t justify paying for an expensive branded device.
While shopping on Amazon late one night I found a soldering station for £20. It’s a clone of a popular Chinese model, and for some reason has been branded with a really odd name.
I decided to buy it, because for £20, why not? I can buy a single temperature iron from a local shop for about £8, so it can’t be too much more effort to add a variable temperature control to them.
