Shut up you noisy inverter

The inverter I have for my DIY Solar setup is a noisy thing. It has two little 60mm fans that come on to cool it down. And they roar like a wannabe rackmount server.

Today I swapped them out for some quieter ones off Amazon. Apart from making the inverter quiet it was also a good test of a new recording setup I’ve been creating in my main workshed.

I’ve now got a crusty old Core i3 PC running Linux that can record a webcam and my proper camera into OBS, so now when I want to record something I’m doing all I have to do is hit record. I’ll be sticking these videos on another channel as they’ll be purely me making things with the focus being on making the thing and not the presentation of the making.

I’m also thinking about how to better use my social media accounts.
