As mentioned in a previous video on my YouTube channel, I have a small solar system installed on the roof of my shed. It is managed by an Iconica 1000W 12V hybrid solar inverter that is wired to two 12V AGM lead acid batteries.
The system works as well as it can, given the location of the solar panel and the limitations of a non-grid tied inverter running off lead acid batteries. One of the problems I was having with the system was the noise of the fans in the unit. They’re small 60mm fans that are either on at full speed or off, with very little intelligence to choose when they come on or go off.
As I don’t want to sit in my shed with fans screaming at me I decided to open the unit and replace them with quieter fans.
