Hello! I’m going to show you how to replace a faulty thumbstick in a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con. This will fix the joy-con drift that can develop over time.
So my £20 Grandma Shark(!) soldering station does work, and seems adequate for my needs. The only thing I see is the iron’s tip isn’t connected to ground, meaning it’s not ESD safe.
My old soldering iron barely works and keeps falling apart. I don’t do a lot of soldering, so can’t justify paying for an expensive branded device.
